Turn print colors into screen colors. Enter CMYK percentages with the sliders or paste a value like cmyk(0%, 50%, 100%, 0%), and get the matching RGB, HEX and HSL codes instantly.
Percent (0–100) or fractions (0–1) both work.

How to use the CMYK to RGB Converter
Enter the CMYK values with the four sliders or type exact percentages in the boxes.
Or paste a value such as cmyk(0%, 50%, 100%, 0%), 0 50 100 0, or fractions like 0, 0.5, 1, 0.
Read the result: the preview and the HEX, RGB and HSL codes update instantly.
Click Copy next to any code to paste it into CSS, Figma, Canva or other software.
Try a common color such as process cyan or rich black to see how inks map to screen colors.
CMYK to RGB formula
CMYK is a subtractive model: each ink removes light from white paper. RGB is additive: a screen adds red, green and blue light. The standard device conversion, used by this tool and by CSS Color Module 5's naive device-cmyk() fallback, works on fractions from 0 to 1:
R = 255 × (1 − C) × (1 − K)
G = 255 × (1 − M) × (1 − K)
B = 255 × (1 − Y) × (1 − K)
Example: C 100%, M 80%, Y 0%, K 40% gives R = 255 × 0 × 0.6 = 0, G = 255 × 0.2 × 0.6 = 30.6 ≈ 31 and B = 255 × 1 × 0.6 = 153, so the color is RGB(0, 31, 153) or #001F99. The HEX code is simply each RGB value written as two hexadecimal digits.

Profile-free vs. color-managed conversion
Real printing inks cannot reproduce every screen color, and the exact screen color of a CMYK mix depends on the paper and press. Professional software converts through ICC profiles such as Coated FOGRA39 (Europe) or GRACoL / SWOP (North America), so 100% cyan shows as a softer blue (around #00AEEF) instead of the pure #00FFFF this formula gives. Use this converter for web previews, quick mock-ups and matching brand guides that list both values. For press-critical work, convert in your design application with the profile your printer specifies. Going the other way? Use HEX to CMYK or RGB to CMYK.
Frequently asked questions
How do you convert CMYK to RGB?
Divide each CMYK percentage by 100, then compute R = 255 × (1 − C) × (1 − K), G = 255 × (1 − M) × (1 − K) and B = 255 × (1 − Y) × (1 − K), and round to whole numbers. For example, C 0%, M 50%, Y 100%, K 0% gives RGB(255, 128, 0), which is #FF8000.
Why does my converted color look different from the printed color?
CMYK describes ink on paper and RGB describes light on a screen. The simple formula used here, like most online converters, ignores ICC color profiles, paper white and dot gain. Design software such as Photoshop or Illustrator uses a profile (for example FOGRA39 or GRACoL), so its RGB numbers can differ by several units.
Is CMYK to HEX the same as CMYK to RGB?
Yes. HEX is just the RGB values written in hexadecimal: each of red, green and blue becomes two hex digits from 00 to FF. The tool shows both.
What is rich black in RGB?
Rich black, often C 60% M 40% Y 40% K 100%, prints a deeper black than K 100% alone. On screen both convert to RGB(0, 0, 0), #000000, because 100% K already makes every RGB channel zero in the formula.
What does total ink coverage mean?
It is the sum of the four CMYK percentages. Many printers limit it to about 300% (lower for uncoated paper) to avoid smudging and slow drying. Check your print shop's specification.
Can I enter CMYK values as decimals?
Yes. Values between 0 and 1, such as 0, 0.5, 1, 0, are treated as fractions and converted to percentages. Values with a % sign or above 1 are read as percentages.
