Pick the platforms and formats you need, drag to choose what stays in frame, and download every size at once. Crop to fill, fit with a color background or use a blurred fill so nothing is cut off. Your photos never leave your browser.

How to use the Social Media Image Resizer
Add photos: drop them on the box, paste with Ctrl+V or click Choose images. You can add several.
Tick the sizes you need in the platform list. Use the tabs to filter by network, or tick Custom and enter any width and height.
Choose a mode: Crop fills the frame, Fit shows the whole photo on a color, Blur fill shows the whole photo on a blurred copy of itself.
Adjust the framing: in Crop mode drag the large preview (or use the arrow keys) and the zoom slider. Click any thumbnail to edit that size.
Download the size you are looking at, or press Download all as ZIP to get every photo in every ticked size.
Social media image sizes cheat sheet
These are the sizes built into the tool. They are the dimensions the platforms recommend or display at; uploading at exactly these sizes avoids the platform's own (often aggressive) resizing and cropping.

Platforms change their layouts from time to time. When in doubt, choose the aspect ratio first (it decides what gets cropped) and use at least the width shown here.
Crop, Fit or Blur fill: which mode to use
Crop scales the photo until it covers the whole frame, then cuts off what sticks out. Best when the subject fits the new shape; drag to choose the part to keep. The scale factor is max(target width ÷ photo width, target height ÷ photo height).
Fit scales the photo until it fits inside the frame (the smaller of the two ratios) and fills the empty bars with a color. Nothing is lost, which suits screenshots, charts, artwork and text.
Blur fill works like Fit, but the bars show an enlarged, blurred copy of the photo. It is the usual way to put a landscape photo into a 9:16 story or Reel without black bars.
Tips for sharp results
Start from the largest original you have. Shrinking keeps detail; enlarging cannot add it, and the tool warns you when a size needs upscaling.
Keep text and faces out of the shaded safe-zone areas: story apps cover the top and bottom with buttons, and profile photos are shown as circles.
Use JPG at 85-90% for photos, PNG for graphics with text or flat colors, and WebP when the platform accepts it for smaller files.
Frequently asked questions
What size should an Instagram post be?
Instagram feed posts are 1080 pixels wide. Use 1080 × 1080 for square, 1080 × 1350 (4:5) for portrait, which takes up the most space in the feed, and 1080 × 566 (1.91:1) for landscape. Stories and Reels are 1080 × 1920 (9:16). Since 2025 the profile grid shows 3:4 previews, so a 1080 × 1440 version keeps the grid tidy.
How do I resize a photo for social media without cropping it?
Choose Fit or Blur fill instead of Crop. Fit places the whole photo in the frame on a solid color you pick; Blur fill puts it on a blurred, enlarged copy of the same photo, the look commonly used for vertical stories. Nothing from the original is cut off in either mode.
What is the YouTube thumbnail size?
1280 × 720 pixels (16:9), at least 640 pixels wide, as JPG, PNG or GIF under 2 MB. Export as JPG at 85-90% quality to stay well under the limit.
What is the safe area of a YouTube channel banner?
Upload 2560 × 1440 px, but only the central 1546 × 423 px is shown on every device. Keep logos and text inside that area; tick Show safe zones to see it outlined in the preview.
Which sizes do I need for a Facebook and X header?
A Facebook page cover displays at 820 × 312 on desktop and is cropped at the sides on phones; 851 × 315 is the common upload size. The X (Twitter) header is 1500 × 500 (3:1). Profile pictures on both are shown as circles, so keep faces centered.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Resizing, cropping, blurring and zipping all happen in your browser with the Canvas API, so the photos never leave your device and the tool keeps working offline once the page has loaded.
Why does my image look soft after resizing?
If the photo is smaller than the target size (or you zoom in a lot) it has to be enlarged, which cannot add real detail. The tool shows an upscaling warning in that case; use a larger original for best results.
