Upload one square image (1024 × 1024 px is ideal) and get every icon size your app needs: an Xcode AppIcon set for iPhone and iPad, Android adaptive and legacy mipmaps, PWA and maskable icons with the manifest code, and a macOS icon set with an .icns file. Everything is generated in your browser.
Add your artwork: drop or choose a square PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG, ideally 1024 × 1024 px. A transparent logo or a finished full-bleed icon both work.
Set padding and background: give logos some breathing room and a solid or gradient background; keep padding at 0 for finished icons.
Check the previews: Android launchers crop adaptive icons into circles, squircles or teardrops, so keep important details inside the safe zone.
Pick the platforms you need: iOS, Android, Web/PWA and macOS, and enter your app name and theme color for the manifest.
Download the ZIP and copy the folders into your project: the AppIcon set into Xcode's Assets.xcassets, the res folder into your Android module, and the web icons next to your manifest.

Safe zones: keep your logo where launchers can't crop it
Android adaptive icons are 108 × 108 dp. Launchers show only the central 72 dp, cut to a circle, squircle, rounded square or teardrop, and keep the inner 66 dp circle always visible. This tool places your artwork inside the visible 72 dp area, scaled by your padding.
PWA maskable icons must keep important content inside a centered circle whose diameter is 80% of the icon. The maskable files add that margin automatically while the background fills the whole square.
iOS uses a rounded rectangle with continuous corners (about 22% of the width). Upload a plain square: do not add rounded corners or transparency yourself.
macOS icons since Big Sur sit on a rounded tile of 824 × 824 px inside a 1024 px canvas, with a soft shadow. The Rounded tile style follows that grid.
Turn on Show safe zones to see the 80% maskable circle (red) and your padding box (blue) on the large preview, and the 66 dp circle on the Android previews.
Design tips for app icons
Use one simple symbol, not a screenshot or a block of text. It has to read at 29 pt in Settings and at 16 px in a Mac menu.
Prefer a solid or gradient background with a light logo on top: transparent icons are not allowed on iOS and look inconsistent on Android.
Check the icon on both light and dark wallpapers, and in the monochrome themed style on Android 13 and later.
Frequently asked questions
What size should an app icon be?
Start from a 1024 x 1024 pixel square image. That is the size Apple requires for the App Store, and every smaller size can be scaled down from it cleanly. The Google Play Store icon is 512 x 512 pixels, Android launcher icons go up to 192 x 192 pixels (432 x 432 for adaptive layers), and PWAs need at least 192 and 512 pixel icons.
Should iOS app icons have rounded corners or transparency?
No. Upload square icons without rounded corners: iOS applies its own rounded mask. App icons for iOS must also be fully opaque, so this tool fills any transparent area with your background color (or white) in the iOS files.
What is an Android adaptive icon?
Since Android 8.0, launcher icons are made of a 108 x 108 dp foreground layer and a background layer. The launcher crops them into a circle, squircle or other shape, showing only the central 72 dp, and may move the layers for parallax effects. Keep logos inside the central 66 dp safe zone. The ZIP contains both layers, a monochrome layer for themed icons on Android 13 and later, and the XML that ties them together.
What is a maskable icon in a PWA?
A maskable icon fills the whole square and keeps its important content inside a central circle of 80% of the icon size, so Android can crop it to any shape without cutting the logo. Add it to the web manifest with purpose set to maskable, next to your regular icons with purpose any.
How do I add the iOS icons to Xcode?
Unzip the file, open your project's Assets.xcassets folder and replace the existing AppIcon.appiconset folder with the one from the ios folder (or drag the images onto the AppIcon slots). Contents.json already maps each file to the right slot. Xcode 14 and later can also work with just the 1024 px icon if you switch the AppIcon to a single size.
Does it make an .icns file for macOS?
Yes. The macos folder contains an AppIcon.appiconset for Xcode and an AppIcon.icns file with all sizes from 16 to 1024 px for apps built without Xcode, such as Electron or Tauri apps. With the Big Sur style option, the artwork sits on Apple's rounded tile with a soft shadow, like other modern Mac icons.
Is my image uploaded?
No. All resizing, the ICO and ICNS files and the ZIP are created in your browser. Your artwork never leaves your device.
