Design cover and header images for Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Twitch and YouTube at the exact pixel size each platform wants. Guides show what gets cropped on phones and where your round profile photo will sit, so nothing important gets covered.

How to use the Cover Photo Maker
Pick a platform above the canvas. The canvas switches to the right size and the guides show the crop areas and the profile photo position.
Choose a template on the Design tab. Templates place text inside the area every device shows.
Add your photo: double-click a photo slot or use Background → Photo for a full-width background. Darken it a little so text stays readable.
Edit the text by clicking it. Keep names and taglines away from the profile photo circle.
Download PNG (best for text and logos) or JPG, then upload it as your cover or header.

Tips for a cover that works on every screen
Design for the smallest view first. Phones crop covers the most. If the text fits inside the phone guide, it fits everywhere.
Mind the profile photo. On LinkedIn, X and Facebook your avatar sits over the lower-left corner. Put names and calls to action on the right or in the center.
Use PNG for text and logos. Platforms recompress uploads; PNG keeps lettering crisp, while JPG is fine for photo-only covers.
One message. A name plus a short tagline, or a single promise, reads better than a list of services.
Keep it consistent. Using the same colors and fonts across Facebook, LinkedIn and X makes your profiles instantly recognizable.
Frequently asked questions
What size is a Facebook cover photo?
Facebook shows covers at 820 × 312 pixels on computers and 640 × 360 on phones. A 820 × 360 design (exported here at 2×, 1640 × 720) covers both: computers trim a strip from the top and bottom, phones trim the sides. Keep text inside the area both guides share.
What is the LinkedIn background photo size?
LinkedIn recommends 1584 × 396 pixels (4:1) for a personal profile background. Your profile photo covers part of the lower left, so this tool's templates put text on the right. Company page covers are 1128 × 191.
What size is an X (Twitter) header?
The X header is 1500 × 500 pixels (3:1). The profile photo overlaps the lower left, and some screens trim the top and bottom, so keep important text in the middle band shown by the guide.
What size are Twitch banners?
The Twitch profile banner is 1200 × 480 pixels and the offline (video player) banner is 1920 × 1080 (16:9). Both are available as presets.
Why does the YouTube banner have so much empty space?
YouTube banners are 2560 × 1440 because TVs show the whole image, but computers only show a 2560 × 423 strip and phones only the central 1546 × 423 safe area. Put all text and logos in that safe area and use the rest for background.
Are the profile photo positions exact?
They are close approximations of each platform's current desktop layout. Platforms change layouts and window sizes vary, so leave a little extra room around the circle.
Is it free and private?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark, and your photos are processed only in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Are all the tools on FreeToolCabin tested for quality and accuracy?
Yes! Every tool on our site undergoes automated Q/A testing in real browser environments to ensure high precision, correct output, and zero errors. If you happen to spot a bug or have a suggestion, please contact us at [email protected] and our team will review it right away.
