How to use the Sticker Maker
Add a picture: drop, paste or choose a photo or a transparent PNG. A sample sticker is shown until you do.
Remove the background: AI mode cuts out people, pets and objects automatically; Solid color mode is instant for plain backgrounds. Transparent PNGs are kept as they are.
Touch up (optional): switch on the brush and erase leftovers or restore parts that were cut away.
Style the sticker: set the outline thickness and color, the drop shadow and the padding, and check the die-cut preview.

What makes a good die-cut sticker
A clean cut-out. Start from a photo where the subject stands out from the background. Hair and fur look best with AI mode; logos and products on white work instantly with Solid color mode.
An even outline. The outline is calculated with a true distance map, so it keeps the same thickness around every curve instead of looking blotchy. A white border also hides small imperfections at the edge of the cut-out.
A simple contour. Thin details such as whiskers or antennas are hard to cut. A thicker outline merges them into one smooth shape, which is easier for cutting machines and more durable when printed.
A subtle shadow. A soft shadow lifts the sticker off the background in chats. For printing, switch the shadow off, because the printer would print it as a gray haze.
Making a sticker pack for chat apps
Create each sticker here and download it with Download WebP 512. The tool lowers the quality step by step until the file is under 100 KB.
Keep the same outline thickness and padding for every sticker so the pack looks consistent.
Import the files with a sticker pack app (for WhatsApp) or send them to the official sticker bot as files (for Telegram).
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a sticker from a photo?
Upload the photo, let the tool remove the background, then add a white outline. The outline is what makes a cut-out look like a real die-cut sticker. Download the result as a transparent PNG and use it in chats, documents or designs, or send it to a sticker printer.
What size should a WhatsApp or Telegram sticker be?
WhatsApp stickers must be exactly 512 x 512 pixels in WebP format, with a transparent background and a file size under 100 KB. Telegram stickers are 512 pixels on the longest side, in PNG or WebP. The WebP 512 button creates a square 512 x 512 file and lowers the quality step by step until it fits under 100 KB.
How does the automatic background removal work?
AI mode downloads an open-source image segmentation model (a few tens of megabytes, cached by your browser after the first time) and runs it on your device to separate the subject from the background. Nothing is uploaded. Solid color mode needs no download: it removes the color found around the edges of the picture, which works best for product shots and logos on plain backgrounds.
How thick should a sticker outline be?
For a 512 px sticker, an outline of 8 to 16 px looks like a classic die-cut sticker. Thin outlines (2 to 6 px) suit detailed subjects; thick outlines (20 px and more) give a bold, cartoon look and smooth out small gaps between parts of the subject.
Can I print the sticker?
Yes. Download the PNG at 2048 px for print quality. The outline marks where the sticker is cut: the cut line in the die-cut preview shows the contour a cutting machine or print shop would follow, just outside the outline.
Why does my sticker still have background bits?
Busy or low-contrast backgrounds can confuse the color mode. Switch to AI mode, or raise the tolerance, then use the brush in Erase mode to remove what is left. Restore mode brings back parts of the subject that were removed by mistake.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything, including the AI background removal, runs in your browser. The model files are downloaded from a public CDN, but your picture stays on your device.
