How to use the Graffiti Text Generator
Type your text: a name, a crew name or a short word. Press Enter for up to three lines.
Pick a lettering style and a color scheme, or set your own fill, inner line, outline and 3D colors.
Shape the piece with the sliders: outline thickness, 3D depth and direction, paint drips, wildness and letter overlap.
Choose a wall such as red brick or concrete, a plain color, or a transparent background for stickers and overlays.
Download the PNG at 2× for sharp printing, or pick an exact image size for social posts, wallpapers or headers.
Anatomy of a graffiti letter
Graffiti lettering is built in layers, painted roughly from the back to the front. Each slider in the generator controls one of these layers, so you can study how a piece is put together or quickly sketch an idea before painting it on paper, canvas or a legal wall.

Tips for better graffiti text
Keep it short. Three to eight letters fill the wall best and stay readable. Use a second line for longer names.
Use contrast. A light fill with a dark outline (or the reverse) reads clearly on busy brick. Make the 3D a darker version of the fill color or a deep contrasting color.
Let letters touch. A small negative letter overlap makes the outlines merge into one solid shape, which is how most pieces look.
Print a sketch. Download at 3× on a plain or transparent background to trace it in a black book or project it onto a canvas.
Type your name in the text box. The preview updates instantly with graffiti lettering, outlines, a 3D drop and drips. Short names of 3 to 8 letters look the most like a real wall piece; use Wildness and Letter overlap to make the letters bounce and lock together.
What are the parts of graffiti lettering?
A typical piece has a fill (often a fade between two colors), a thin inner line around the fill, a thick outer outline, a 3D block or drop shadow that gives depth, and extras such as shine marks, sparkles and paint drips. This tool lets you control each of those layers separately.
What is the difference between a tag, a throw-up and a piece?
A tag is a fast one-color signature. A throw-up is quick, usually bubble-shaped letters with a fill and an outline. A piece (short for masterpiece) is a larger, more detailed work with fades, 3D, highlights and effects. The marker fonts here suit tags, the rounded fonts suit throw-ups, and the full set of effects gives a piece look.
Can I get a transparent background?
Yes. Choose Transparent in the Wall menu and download the PNG. Only the lettering, outline, 3D and drips are kept, so you can place it on photos, videos, shirts or stickers.
What size is the downloaded image?
With Fit to text, the PNG is the preview size multiplied by the quality you choose (1×, 2× or 3×). Pick 2× or 3× for printing. You can also choose exact sizes such as 1080 × 1080 for posts, 1920 × 1080 for wallpapers or 1500 × 500 for headers.
Can I use the image as a sketch for painting a real wall?
Yes, it works well as a reference sketch. Only paint on walls, boards or canvases where you have permission, such as your own property, legal walls or approved murals.
Are the fonts free to use?
The lettering styles use open-license fonts from Google Fonts, which allow personal and commercial use in images. If a font cannot load, a bold system font is used so the tool still works.
