Create printable price tags for a shop, market stall, craft fair or yard sale. List your items with a price and an optional sale price; the old price is crossed out and the discount shown automatically. Pick a tag size and design, then print a full sheet with cut lines.

How to use the Price Tag Maker
Enter your items: name, price and, for discounted items, a lower sale price. Add a detail line such as size or SKU if you like.
Set copies for each item, or paste a whole list from a spreadsheet with “Paste a list”.
Choose the tag size and design, accent color, currency and an optional store name.
Check the preview: sale items show the crossed-out regular price and the percentage saved.
Download the PDF sheet and print at 100% scale, then cut along the dashed lines. Or download the PNG tags.

Sale price math
When you enter a sale price, the tag shows the regular price crossed out and, if enabled, the percent saved: Save % = (regular − sale) ÷ regular × 100. To find a sale price from a target discount, use sale = regular × (1 − discount ÷ 100).

Tips for clear price tags
Make the price the biggest thing. Shoppers look for the number first; keep item names short and move sizes or SKUs to the detail line.
Match the register. The price on the tag should be the price charged at checkout. Remove sale tags when a promotion ends.
Show unit prices where useful. For food and household goods, a detail line such as “$0.62 / oz” helps comparison; some places require unit pricing.
Use contrast. Dark text on a light background prints and reads best; the Minimal design is ideal for black-and-white printers.
Frequently asked questions
How is the “Save X%” figure calculated?
Percent saved = (regular price − sale price) ÷ regular price × 100, rounded to the nearest whole percent. For example, a $22.00 candle on sale for $16.50 saves $5.50, which is exactly 25%, so the tag shows “SAVE 25%”. A sale price that is not lower than the regular price is ignored and flagged in the status line.
Which label sheets do the shelf labels fit?
The 2.625 × 1 in shelf label uses the common 30-per-sheet US Letter layout (3 columns × 10 rows, 0.5 in top margin), the same size as standard address labels such as Avery 5160 and compatible sheets. Print one test page on plain paper and hold it over a label sheet to check alignment before printing on labels.
How do I print price tags at the right size?
Open the PDF and print at 100% or “Actual size”, not “Fit to page”, which shrinks everything slightly. For hang tags and signs use card stock (65 lb cover or heavier) so they stand up and survive handling.
Why do many price tags use .99 endings and small cents?
Prices ending in .99 or .95 are a widespread retail convention often called charm pricing, and raised small cents keep the attention on the dollar amount while saving space. Turn off “Small raised cents” if you prefer a plain price like $12.99, for example to match a price shown at the register.
Can I make garage sale or yard sale price tags?
Yes. Use the 2.625 × 1 in or 3.5 × 2 in size, choose the Sale yellow and red or Minimal design, and set several copies of common prices like $1, $5 and $10. Leave the item name generic (for example “Books” or “Toys”) to reuse the tags.
Is my item list saved or uploaded?
Your items and settings are saved only in this browser's local storage so they are there next time. The tags, PDF and PNG files are created on your device; nothing is uploaded.
